Mole Control

No longer allowed to trap Moles in Massachusetts with Harpoon and Scissor Traps

Many of you have encountered clients whose manicured lawns have been ravaged by moles. Prior to the so called Wildlife Protection Act in Nov. 1996, WRS inc. successfully saved lawns from mole damage. Regrettably, the regulatory body known as the Wildlife Board decided to bow to animal rights activist pressure and rule that Question 1 applied to mole traps. This ruling has now made the use of harpoon and scissor mole traps illgeal in the state of Massachusetts. If you are wondering why you can still buy these traps from your local hardware store, understand that the law didn't ban the possession or sale of these traps. Question 1 only banned the USE of these traps.

Mole Facts: Only Traps Work

What you can do to help

We can change this law. Ask your state representative top support initiatives to overturn the Wildlife Protection Act. Have your representative get in contact with Wildlfe Damage Control  and we will gladly fill him or her in on the problem and how to solve it.

Wildlife Damage Control Introduces New Products and Services:

Dryer and Exhaust Vent Covers

These inexpensive screens will keep house sparrows and chipmunks from entering your house through the bathroom. They can even be used on dryer vents (the cover will not cause your dryer vent to clog up, the holes are big enough to allow steam and lint to pass through). Placing a vent cover on the dryer will prevent squirrels and chipmunks from entering your house through the dryer!

Attic Vent Screens

We can now install stainless steel screens over those odd size roof vents. These screens are custom made and can be used to cover the large mushroom vents. These sturdy and rust resistant screens also prevent animals from entering a house through your vents while still allowing airflow to cool your attic.

Porch Trench Screening

WDC  has long advocated trench screening porches and sheds to prevent woodchucks and skunks form taking residence. We are now pleased to announce that we now provide that service. Be sure to ask us about available screening options.
